A lot of problems simply arise from the fact that people either forget to try and have fun with the game, or they get so caught up in achieving their own fun that they don't respect other people's rights to have the same. If you get down to it, that's the reason behind the majority of people who are rude, inconsiderate, imposing, overbearing, arrogant, narrowminded, patronizing, presumptuous, and all of those annoying little traits that make you wince when you see them coming. Take the time to respect the other players.

One of the beauties of having a free RP system is that players are given more space to act out their roles as they see fit, and ultimately they are given the privilege of deciding the outcome of their battles for themselves. We could use a dice/fixed-number/stat system, but we're going to trust the players to make reasonable, fair judgments. And to help give structure, and to ensure everyone has a good time, we can put forth guidelines, to be respected by all players.

Player skills, powers, tech, etc, are what you use in combat and should be exactly what you had in your accepted application. No changes unless cleared by wizards. In combat, to this you must adhere. If you specified a 5 ton max press limit, you should not be rping hefting a jumbo jet. You should not be getting an adrenaline rush and suddenly getting stronger... because the 5 ton is your absolute max.
