[index] [one] [two] It is a combined responsibility of players already on scene and players approaching a scene to pose what they are doing, and to ask what is going on. Do be aware that some rooms are huge and encompass several big city blocks, and others might be tiny tiny places, rooms a few feet in dimension. Stay aware of this and always be aware that you might not see every act that goes on in the room. You could be a quarter mile away. Now the first thing you do should not be to type +where and see where everyone is and rush off to that location. That would make you a lemming in a big bad way, and cross the IC/OOC boundary, which is always inappropriate. Go about your IC business, or page people and ask them if they might like to set something up. Note that a lot of people spend all their time set unfindable. The reason for this is that they quite possibly do not want to be found in this way, they may have roleplay already going on and not want lemmings. On the other hand, setting yourself unfindable does make it unlikely anyone will spontaneously decide that stumbling into would be a fun thing to do. Finally, be aware of the information in all of the news files and on the Roleplay Bulletin Board. We have done our best to amass information that we think is useful and helpful while playing, from several points of view and perspectives. If you think something has been omitted, feel free to @mail the wizards. |
