Having powers that integrate successfully into the MUX is very much for the players own benefit. Disruptive or unfair or wholly unmanageable or confusing or inconsistent powers will not only make the character difficult to play effectively, but it'll also discourage others from interacting with him/her. Things that work well in a table-top environment are not necessarily going to translate well into an online environment. The universe is generally a lot larger online; more characters and more diversity. Try to keep this in mind while developing your character concept.
