[index] [features] [powers] [alts] The number of characters a player may have is determined by a various factors, and it is impossible to present you with any set guideline. These factors include the overall power level classification of the characters, the activity classification of the characters, and 'playing with yourself' is an issue. A general rule of thumb is this: More less-powered semi-active characters, a few regularly active and/or high powered characters, and no two characters who would be expected to regularly or significantly interact with each other on the MUX. Above all else, you will not be awarded a new character until you prove to be able to manage successfully the characters that you hold. Common sense should be your guide, as there are only so many hours in the week during which you can be online and available to play. In cases of exceptional players, these limits may be reconsidered. If you desire to play more than one character, you will be given every opportunity to apply for them. However, after your first character it will become increasingly difficult to be awarded more characters. Things to consider should include:
Keep in mind that alts are not the rule, but the exception. Most people will not want or be able to play more than one, maybe two characters. One thing that will not be granted exception except in the case of certain unavoidable tinyplot instances is that you may not roleplay in any significant fashion with your other characters, and even in these cases, the roleplay may be required to have wizard approval. When in doubt, ask a Wizard. Decisions of the Wizards are final, and keep in mind that needless quarreling will only detract from everyone's enjoyment. |
