  Character Alteration Basics
[index] [basics] [application] [tips]

If Forge walks up to you and gives you a spiffy nullifier gun (which he wouldn't most likely, so don't get your hopes up) there sure had better have been a *CA application along the way for you to suddenly come into possession of the new tech item, along with some darned good IC reasons for the entire exchange.

Any such change must be submitted to the Character Alterations department by either @mailing *CA or posting on the CA Submissions bboard. Some alterations will require a Tinyplot application along with the application for the change to you character. Refer to 'news tinyplots' for more information.

Once you submit the application to *CA, regardless of how you do it, the application will be reviewed. Just as with your original application, several things can happen. The application can be outright approved, declined, or you could be asked for more information about the application, further IC justification, or for a rewrite with specific guidelines detailing what we would be willing to approve.

KEEP ALL YOUR APPLICATIONS AND APPROVALS until you have your +stats set. If you don't and/or delay too long in getting your +stats changed you risk having to start over again. If everyone, including you, forgets what was and was not approved... well you're probably going to have to re-app. You are responsible for your own admin.

Once you receive any sort of final approval, you will need to make the changes on your +stats as indicated, and then @mail *Inspect or post on the Inspect bboard requesting for a final inspection. Players have one week (barring extenuating circumstances) to get their CA changes inspected or they are no longer approved.
