The very first thing you should do is decide who you might want to play (and it might be a good idea to have a few alternate choices in case your first choice is already taken), and then find out if this choice is taken. Note that although a character may appear available, applications may have been submitted for the character. You can always ask a Wizard whether there is a pending application for a particular Featured Character. It is also important to be aware that we do not work on a strict first come first served basis. If an application is received for the same Featured Character (or post cut-off FC) before the first application is processed completely, any additional applications for that character will be accepted. We are not doing this to promote competition or lessen the enjoyability of the game, we are doing this to make the game better by trying to get the best person for the job at that particular moment.
