Character's Skills
Everyone can do something, but no one can do everything, not even Galactus or the Beyonder. Please list the skills your character has. You need to go into some detail with each skill. Describe the skill level of each skill. What can your character do? Give examples of what your character can do, give examples of things in this skill set which your character cannot do—things that would be too hard for the character. Give examples, if possible of people who this person is both better and worse than. Keep in mind how much time it takes to learn a skill. As a general rule, the more skills your character has the less skilled at each individual sill that character should be. A jack of all trades is a master of none.

Now of course, we don't expect you to list "Brushing Teeth" as a skill unless it's really only one of the three or four things that the character can do with any measure of success. Use the command +skills/list to see the various types of skills that are being used. Think about the things that set your character apart from the rest of the world, what can they do exceptionally well, or even poorly if it is simply exceptional to be able to perform the task. Think about the education that the character has had, and detail it. List all languages that the character is able to speak as well. A skills section is mandatory for each and every character.

It is best if you categorize the skills somewhat, and delineate them as thoroughly as possible. These will be part of your on-line +stats to help facilitate game play. It's good to think of skills as 'sets' of like abilities, and some of those skills as specializations. For example, 'combat' is a very general skill name; 'knife fighting' is a specific skill in which you might have a specialization.

Everyone should really write up their combat skills (or lack thereof!) because it is likely you will enter combat at least once on the MUX. If you have only one specialization, and no real talent or ability or knowledge in the skill class (i.e., combat), then just write up the specialization.
