Well if you're sitting there, scratching your head, and wondering what to do now, the answer is fairly simple depending on what has you stumped. If you are still uncertain what this is all about, it's a roleplaying game that takes place in real time using a program called TinyMUX that is really just a very elegant multi-room chat environment. The roleplaying is text-based -- that is, it's like a book that is being made up as we go along.
If you have absolutely no idea how to telnet or actually get to the MUX, skip ahead to the newbie help page. There is some detailed information there about how to get to the game.
If you are curious as to how to participate on the MUX as a player, then you are in the right place. There is ample information here to give you an idea of what sorts of characters are accepted on Mutatis Mutandis and how to go about getting a character of your own. The pages that follow this one have details on these subjects, including the application for characters and a sample application.
If you have any questions, and can't get to the MUX to ask them, or do log in to the MUX and manage to pick a time when no staff persons are on duty, then by all means send us some email. There is a comments form which you can use for that purpose. Please try to be as detailed as possible in describing your particular dilemma so that we might better address the difficulties.
If you can telnet to the MUX, then log in as a guest and start looking around. There are various news files there that further detail policy on Mutatis Mutandis, and you can start looking around at the characters that already exist.
If you're still uncertain, go take a look at the different tidbits selected to represent the community of people, players and administration, that comprise Mutatis Mutandis. There are logs, links, character and player pages, and there is also a guest book. Viewing some of these items should help round out your perception of the MUX. Enjoy!
