Mutatis Mutandis Timeline

Mutatis Mutandis starts off with a What-If?! Donald Pierce had not destroyed the Siege Perilous and it was instead used to hasten the end of mutantkind. We chose this theme to allow for creative interpretation of Feature Characters that end up passing through the Siege if so desired, and hopefully a departure from the standard X-continuity online and in the comics.

The continuity breaks chosen for the various X-Books are listed below. Note that some breaks do NOT share the same cover date on the books. We did this to try to cut off each book at a key point which lends to playability. If a book is not listed below, feel free to contact a Staff person on the MUX to try to determine the cutoff.

Alpha Flight #?? Right after Alpha Flight comes back from Dimension Hopping, and Gamma Flight shows up.
Excalibur #11 Waving a Magic Wand and ending the Cross-Time Capers
New Mutants #87 The New Mutants return from Asgard
Uncanny X-Men #251 Right before Pierce destroys the Siege
X-Factor #51 After they return with Ship

You should be aware that as soon as roleplay began when the MUX opened in early June 1996 and players went In Character, things began to diverge from what you may know about continuity. The longer it is from the opening of the MUX, the more diverse and unexpected you might find these changes. Feel free to contact any member of Continuity or Roleplay Staff to ask questions about what these changes might be. In cases of previously uncast Feature Characters, the Staff is able to work with newly incoming players to help incorporate them into the MUX.

When available, we have tried to keep current +updates and each player compiles a monthly +history entry. The +histories provide a wealth of information about each individual character and the changes they may have undergone, and +updates is designed for global events. There is also information in +updates, when available, about previous incarnations of characters. For more information about these commands, simply refer to '+help +history' and '+help +updates' on the MUX.
